ALS Consulting LLC was started by Amy Sieben in November of 2012, a Registered Professional Engineer in the states of Minnesota, Louisiana, Texas, and Michigan. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from The University of Minnesota, Institute of Technology with an emphasis in Calculus, and a MBA in Finance and Marketing from The University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management. Amy had the opportunity to study Global Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and German in Vienna, Austria in graduate school at the Wirtschaftsuniversitat during the summer of 1999.
Amy is a veteran of many years in power plant operations, maintenance, and HRSG design having served as an Instrument and Control Technician and Plant Engineer for Northern States Power Company (the predecessor to Xcel Energy); and Mechanical and Applications Engineer for Deltak. Amy also worked for NRG Energy, Inc. as a Director of Worldwide Operations assisting them with an orderly bankruptcy filing through the restructuring of operating and capital expense. Most recently Amy worked for HRST, Inc. helping them build a world class reputation for services in the HRSG industry. She served at the Analysis Manager with direct oversight over FAC Risk Assessments, Cycling Studies, Low Load Studies, and Performance Evaluation.
Alex Fitzjerrells is a Mechanical Engineer and graduate of University of Nevada – Las Vegas. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Nevada. Most recently serving as a Senior Generation Engineer at a NV Energy, he spent much of his time inspecting and improving their various boilers. He has involved himself in capital projects, emergent repairs, and implementing programs to improve long-term planning and reliability.
Logan joined ALS Consulting LLC from the steel industry, where he served as Project Engineer for SYSTEMS Spray-Cooled, Inc. in piping and water system conversion, R&D, sales, estimating, and commissioning of Electric Arc Furnace cooling equipment in environments over 3000°F, primarily handling molten steel and abrasive gasses. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Arkansas State University in May 2016 and is currently preparing to test for his Mechanical Professional Engineering License in Thermal and Fluids Systems during Summer 2020.
